This is a Contract position suited for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment, managing visitor interactions, and keeping daily office activity organized. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling calls, coordinating front desk coverage, and providing consistent administrative support in a part-time setting.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and staff members at the front desk, ensure visitors are properly signed in, and maintain an organized arrival process.
- Manage incoming calls through a multi-line phone system, direct inquiries to the appropriate contacts, and provide courteous assistance to callers.
- Oversee the day-to-day reception area for a single-floor office environment, helping maintain an orderly and well-organized workspace.
- Enter and track work order requests accurately so facility or office needs are communicated and addressed efficiently.
- Provide front desk coverage during scheduled absences, including vacation periods, to ensure uninterrupted receptionist support.
- Assist with coordinating access to meeting spaces and support general office flow throughout the workday. Requirements
- Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or office support role.
- Ability to operate a multi-line phone or switchboard system with confidence and accuracy.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented, service-oriented approach when interacting with visitors and callers.
- Comfortable handling inbound calls, greeting guests, and managing sign-in procedures.
- Reliable organizational skills with the ability to manage routine administrative tasks and work orders.
- Availability to work in a part-time capacity and provide coverage as needed.
