Our company is a family-owned companion animal general practice. We practice low stress animal handling techniques and engage our clients in a meaningful dialog about their pet's health and medical care options. The facility is conveniently located at the junction of Cambridge, Watertown, and Belmont, with parking and easy access to public transportation. You can learn a lot about who we are and how we work by reading our reviews on Google and Yelp. Please note this is not an entry level position - you must have some direct animal care, reception, or veterinary clinic experience to qualify for the job. Our front desk people make friends with our clients and figure out the best way to get medical help for their pets. And they handle the office administration that supports the technicians (nurses) and doctors. The position includes some animal handling, heavy use of medical records software, lots of phone and email time, team meetings, and we all pitch in for some light cleaning. It is fast-paced multi-tasking kind of work. Our office has lots of art, natural light, cute puppies, really dedicated medical professionals, and an amazingly wonderful family of clients. The position we are filling could work out a variety of part time schedules, but we need about 20 hours/week, with a mix of morning, day and evening shifts. Some rotating Saturday day-time availability is required (never Sundays, yeah!). Heal offers competitive wages and a nice package of benefits for all our staff. Candidates need to have veterinary or direct animal care experience in order to apply for this position. We strongly encourage applications from people who have been economically or socially marginalized. Please note that the hiring and training process will involve video calls. Please apply via Indeed and include a cover letter or short introductory email.
