Role Description The Front Desk Staff role is a full-time, on-site position based in Oak Bluffs, MA. This team member serves as the first point of contact for students, families, visitors, and vendors, greeting them in a professional and welcoming manner and directing inquiries appropriately. Daily responsibilities include answering and routing phone calls, managing incoming and outgoing mail, supporting attendance procedures, and maintaining accurate records and front office documentation. The role also involves providing general administrative support to school leadership and staff, such as preparing basic correspondence, managing front desk supplies, and assisting with scheduling and communications. The Front Desk Staff helps ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the school office and contributes to a positive and organized school environment. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Receptionist Duties skills, including welcoming visitors, handling inquiries, and providing accurate information. Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with the ability to interact effectively with students, families, staff, and community members. Candidates should possess professional Phone Etiquette skills, including answering calls promptly, routing calls accurately, and taking detailed messages. Candidates should possess solid Computer Literacy skills, including comfort with email, word processing, spreadsheets, and basic data entry in school-related systems. Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in a school or office setting, strong organizational and time-management skills, reliability and punctuality, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Portuguese speaking a plus.
