Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and billing information.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry into electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Collect copayments and process patient payments according to established procedures.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff regarding patient flow and scheduling needs.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorizations when applicable.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with general office duties including scanning, filing, faxing, and correspondence.
  • Support a positive patient experience by addressing questions and concerns promptly. Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of receptionist, customer service, or administrative
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Preferred
  • Previous experience in a medical office, ambulatory surgery center, gastroenterology practice, or endoscopy center.
  • Experience with EMR systems and medical scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and healthcare registration processes. Skills and Competencies
