ABOUT BALTIMORE COUNTRY CLUB
Baltimore Country Club was founded in 1898 and it was a success from the start, with 600 members enjoying its 150-acre facility less than five miles from downtown Baltimore. Just one year after opening, the Club gained immediate recognition in the golf world by hosting the fifth United States Open Championship. Today the Club is over 3,300 members strong with two campuses. It is widely recognized as one of the top 50 country clubs in the nation and top 100 in the world. We are all about the simple truth and doing what is right not what is easy.A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A MEMBER RELATIONS ASSOCIATE
The receptionist role is the main switchboard of the two BCC Clubhouses and gathers all essential information, providing general assistance to callers and visitors. Responsibilities include greeting & directing members, guests, visitors & vendors; answering, screening, and directing telephone calls with a positive attitude. This role also assists in special event registrations, including check-in/greeting for club & holiday events. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are required to ensure the club runs smoothly.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides gracious welcome to all members, guests, visitors, & vendors. Answers telephone calls and effectively transferring to the proper extensions. Keeps up to date with club's hours of operation and other club information. Maintains the appearance of the lobby area, entrance, restrooms, coat check and surrounding areas. Sorts and distributes in-coming mail and member payments. Accurately label items dropped off at the front desk with date, time, and name of the individual dropping off or picking up. Takes reservations for the dining rooms, club events and other departments, when necessary. Manage the lost and found area by keeping it neat and tidy. Communicates emergency response information to managers in time of crisis. Sends Daily Agenda daily to provide insight into Next Day events & dining at the club. Other duties/projects as assigned by management.REQUIREMENTS, WORKING CONDITIONS, AND OTHER FACTORS
Professionalism while speaking on the phone. Ability to adapt to different environments. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong time management and organizational skills Must be able to efficiently handle multiple tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and providing excellent member service. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Strong computer skills, reservation system experience is a plus. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and weekends. Ability to be a team player and go the extra mile! Ideally candidates will work the following schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, holidays and weekends. Day time hours 8:45am- 5:00pm Evening hours 5:00pm
- 9:00pm or 3:00pm
- 9:00pm Weekend hours 8:45am
- 3:00pm & 3:00pm
