Full Job Description Job Description:
A busy primary care practice in Pikesville, MD is seeking a highly professional and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team. We are looking for a strong candidate with at least two years of experience in a medical office setting who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent patient service. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Greeting and assisting patients in a courteous and professional manner Managing a high-volume front desk, including phone calls, scheduling, and check-in/check-out Verifying patient demographics and insurance information Preparing and maintaining accurate patient records Writing professional letters and handling formal correspondence Communicating effectively with providers, staff, and patients Utilizing AthenaHealth EMR for scheduling, documentation, and workflow tasks Maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting (required) Clinical experience a plus Strong knowledge of medical terminology Experience using AthenaHealth EMR (preferred) Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy practice
