Our mission is to deliver personalized optometry care and expert ocular disease management while creating an outstanding experience for every patient. We are currently seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. Position Summary This role is essential to creating a positive first impression for our patients. The Front Desk Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, payment collection, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office, patient service, or professional administrative setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining professionalism Experience with insurance verification and patient scheduling preferred Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service Key Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes Answer incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently Schedule and confirm patient appointments Collect and update patient demographic, insurance, and required forms Assist patients with setting up and using the patient portal Obtain insurance pre-authorizations as needed Prepare medical record release requests for provider review Scan and upload documents into electronic patient records Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at time of service Maintain a welcoming, clean, and organized reception/lobby area Support office workflow and team operations as needed What We Offer Competitive wages based on experience Paid sick /vacation time off Benefit plans available Supportive team environment Opportunity to grow with a respected and established practice If you enjoy helping others, thrive in a team environment, and take pride in delivering excellent service, we would love to hear from you.
