Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Office Receptionist to join our team. This role is the first face patients see and is responsible for patient scheduling, billing support, customer service and ensuring smooth and efficient workflow throughout the day. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the daily operations of our optometry clinic. The ideal candidate is technically competent, highly organized, comfortable multitasking, and enjoys working directly with patients. The office is open Monday-Thursday, 8:00-5:00, no evenings or weekends. Duties Patient Scheduling
- Manage appointment calendar, confirm visits, optimize daily flow and reduce scheduling gaps. Front Desk Operations
- Greet patients, check them in/out, verify insurance and maintain accurate records. Billing & Insurance Support
- Process payments, assist with insurance submissions and resolve basic billing questions. Technical & Computer Systems
- Use EHR systems, scheduling software and optical practice management tools, as well as maintain accurate digital documentation. Customer Service
- Provide friendly, professional support to patients, handle questions, concerns and follow-up communication. Multitasking and Workflow Management
- Coordinate between patients, opticians, techs and the doctor to keep the office running smoothly. Office Administration
- Manage phones, email, inventory tracking and general administrative duties.
