Job Description

You will serve as a first point of contact for clients and their beloved animals, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk while supporting the veterinary team with basic patient care and daily hospital tasks. This role requires excellent customer service, strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced veterinary environment. You must be dependable, punctual and have a professional appearance. Responsibilities Greet clients and patients in a friendly, compassionate, and professional manner. Answer phones and respond to client inquiries. Check patients in and out Ensure accurate medical records Process payments, invoices, estimates, and deposits Verify client information Manage email, voicemail, and online appointment requests Escort patients to and from exam rooms Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies assist with patient admissions and discharge wash, sterilize and organize surgical instruments perform laundry, kennel cleaning and other housekeeping tasks Experience Previous experience in veterinary reception or a related pet care environment is highly preferred Familiarity with veterinary care procedures Knowledge of animal anatomy, restraint techniques, pet grooming, dog training, and dog handling enhances your ability to assist effectively excellent verbal and written communication skills strong computer skills and ability to learn veterinary practice management software Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a lively, positive attitude is essential for success in this energetic role Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
