Competitive pay, based on experience About Us St. James Vet Clinic is a general mixed animal practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for our patients and their families. We're looking for a warm, organized, and dependable Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. What You'll Do Greet clients and patients warmly, in person and by phone Schedule and confirm appointments, manage the daily schedule, and handle cancellations/rescheduling Check clients in and out, process payments, and manage invoicing Answer phones, respond to emails, and triage client questions or concerns Maintain accurate medical records and client information in our practice management software Communicate with clients about treatment plans, estimates, and follow-up care instructions Support the veterinary team by relaying urgent messages and helping manage patient flow Keep the front desk and waiting area clean, organized, and welcoming Handle prescription refill requests and coordinate with pharmacy/online store as needed What We're Looking For Previous front-desk experience in a veterinary or medical setting preferred Excellent communication skills and a genuine love for animals and people Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment Strong computer skills; experience with practice management software (e.g., DaySmart Vetter) a plus Comfortable handling sensitive conversations (financial discussions, end-of-life care, etc.) with empathy Reliable, punctual, and a team player Schedule Full-time position.

Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, with occasional Saturday rotation.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
