Part-time MRI Receptionist About the
Role:
The Receptionist - MRI serves as the primary point of contact for patients and visitors at an MRI facility, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. This role is critical in managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and coordinating communication between patients, medical staff, and administrative teams. The receptionist is responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and handling sensitive information with confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations. By efficiently managing front desk operations, the receptionist supports the smooth functioning of MRI services and contributes to a positive patient experience. Ultimately, this position plays a vital role in facilitating timely and effective diagnostic imaging services within the healthcare setting.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role, preferably in a healthcare or medical imaging environment. Proficiency with computer systems, preferably electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients arriving for MRI appointments, verifying identification and insurance information. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm MRI appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software. Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide clear information regarding MRI procedures and preparation instructions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations. Coordinate communication between patients, MRI technologists, radiologists, and administrative staff to optimize workflow. Collect co-payments and handle billing inquiries in accordance with facility policies. Part-time, Monday-Friday, 2pm-7pm
