The Groves at Carolina Meadow is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and welcoming Part-Time Unit Secretary to serve as the administrative anchor of our new State-of-the-Art building. Operating at the front reception desk, you will be the first point of contact for residents, families, and physicians. You will manage the flow of communication, coordinate scheduling, and provide essential administrative support to our team.
Key Responsibilities Communication Hub:
Answer telephone calls, route messages accurately, and greet residents, family members, physicians, and vendors professionally.Admissions & Discharges:
Assist the clinical team by compiling paperwork packages for new resident admissions, transfers, or discharges.Coordination & Scheduling:
Help coordinate transportation and external medical appointments for residents.Team Support:
Collaborate closely with the Charge Nurse, CNAs, and physicians to maintain an organized, smooth-running shift environment.Qualifications & Skills Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of clerical or administrative experience, ideally within a healthcare, long-term care, or senior living environment (preferred).Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency with computers, including electronic health record (EHR) platforms or medical charting software.Interpersonal Skills:
Exceptional communication, empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with a senior population.
