A Receptionist greets and directs customers or visitors that come in to an office or business, and answers and directs incoming phone calls. Deals with mail or courier services. May schedule appointments or meeting rooms, gather patient information, or assist with filing or other administrative support work.
The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for families, students, and visitors. This role provides excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering phone calls, scheduling swim lessons, processing payments, and supporting daily front office operations in a friendly and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome students, parents, and visitors with a positive attitude. Answer phone calls, emails, and respond to customer inquiries. Schedule, reschedule, and cancel swim lessons as needed. Process registrations, payments, and maintain accurate customer records. Check students in for lessons and assist with class placement. Provide information about swim programs, pricing, and policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area. Assist instructors and management with administrative tasks. Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally. Monitor office supplies and assist with inventory as needed. Follow company policies regarding safety, confidentiality, and customer service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Basic computer skills and experience with scheduling or point-of-sale software. Friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented. Ability to work evenings and weekends, if required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with children or families. handling payment processing experience. Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. Comfortable working in a warm, humid pool environment when needed.
