Duties Greet patients, visitors, and staff warmly, creating a friendly and professional atmosphere at the front desk Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Schedule appointments efficiently using medical scheduling software; coordinate with clinicians to optimize daily workflows Handle phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing information or directing calls appropriately Verify insurance coverage, assist with health insurance questions, and facilitate medical billing and collections using systems like Athenahealth or Meditech Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR) to uphold clinical confidentiality policies Qualifications Proven experience in medical office administration or as a medical receptionist within a clinical setting, preferably in physical therapy or dental clinics Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical billing procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus Ability to review medical documentation accurately and support care plans through meticulous record keeping Prior clinic experience involving medical terminology, health information management, and clinical confidentiality policies is highly desirable Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join us today to be part of a vibrant healthcare team dedicated to making a difference!
