Overview Furman Dental is seeking an experienced, friendly, and highly organized Dental Office Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a dependable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing exceptional patient care and customer service. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with comprehensive administrative support, ensuring our office runs smoothly and efficiently. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you'll create a welcoming environment. Responsibilities Answer and manage incoming phone calls Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments Verify insurance information and assist with patient accounts Maintain accurate patient records and office documentation Process patient check-in and check-out efficiently Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment, appointments, and financial information Collaborate with doctors and team members to ensure smooth daily operations Perform general administrative and front office duties Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries via phone or email and supporting client communication efforts Skills Previous dental administrative experience is required Proficiency with Eaglesoft dental practice management software is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and tools for document creation, spreadsheets, and email management. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment Effective phone communication skills with professional phone etiquette Strong organizational skills combined with time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities seamlessly Technical proficiency with computers Team-oriented with a positive attitude Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to work efficiently in a busy, patient-focused environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills If you are an experienced dental professional who enjoys working with patients and being part of a fun, vibrant, collaborative team, we'd love to hear from you.
