In this vital role, you will create a welcoming environment, manage appointments, handle medical collections, and support the overall flow of our busy clinic. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure every pet and owner receives exceptional care and service from the moment they walk through our doors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your love for animals with excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced, rewarding setting. Duties Greet clients warmly and efficiently check in and out pets for appointments, surgeries, or emergencies Manage appointment scheduling to optimize clinic flow and reduce wait times Handle medical billing and collections with accuracy and professionalism Maintain detailed records of patient visits, treatments, and owner communications using veterinary software systems Assist with kennel duties by coordinating pet care, feeding, and cleaning when needed Support veterinary staff by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment using aseptic techniques, and handling laboratory samples Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, upcoming appointments, or billing inquiries Support animal handling tasks such as dog training, restraint, or basic animal husbandry to assist veterinary procedures Experience Previous experience in veterinary reception or customer service roles is highly desirable Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques enhances your effectiveness in this role Familiarity with laboratory procedures, pet grooming, pet care, and animal husbandry is a plus Experience with kennel management or animal catheterization can be beneficial Strong skills in medical collection processes and laboratory experience are advantageous Ability to handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and equines with confidence and compassion Excellent communication skills to clearly explain veterinary procedures and billing information to clients Join us to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
