Job Description

Thalian Association Community Theatre is seeking a dependable, friendly, and customer-service-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time House Attendant & Box Office Staff member at the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center (HBHUSO/CAC).

Front Desk Attendants support daily operations of the Community Arts Center, including opening and closing the facility, assisting visitors and renters, providing event support, and performing light janitorial tasks. Applicants should have experience working with the public and basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Monday-Thursday:

PM Special Events:

Varying times as needed Candidates must be able to work variable hours—including evenings, weekends, occasional mornings, and special events—and must pass a criminal background screening. Preferred Qualifications & Abilities Experience with facility maintenance and special event operations Positive attitude and strong customer service skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with room setups Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite General Duties Include Opening and closing the facility and securing the building Answering phones, selling tickets, registering students, and assisting guests Supporting event setups, operations, and box office accounting Completing nightly deposits for box office and concessions Stocking and selling concessions; training volunteers as needed Maintaining cleanliness of concessions and public areas Assisting the CAC Director and Executive Director as assigned Supervising activities in the building and representing the CAC to visitors Posting upcoming events on community calendars Setting up rooms and supporting special events, including local errands Maintaining building order, cleanliness, and safety Setting up and breaking down risers, tables, and chairs independently or with a team About the Community Arts Center & Thalian Association Community Theatre The Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center , owned by the City of Wilmington and managed by Thalian Association Community Theatre, is a historic cultural landmark that has served generations of children and families through recreation and the arts.
