Job Description

Position Summary This clerical position is responsible for welcoming patients, completing patient registration, and ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information at the front desk. The role plays a key part in providing excellent customer service and supporting efficient clinic operations.

Monday
  • Thursday 7:15 A.M.
  • 4:30 P.M. Friday 7:15 A.M.
  • 12:30 P.
M. Essential Job Responsibilities Promptly and professionally greet patients upon arrival. Register new patients and verify demographic and insurance information for returning patients. Accurately enter and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Explain financial responsibilities, including copays, coinsurance, and deductibles, to patients or responsible parties. Collect copayments and other patient payments as required. Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and proper claim filing. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned to meet operational needs. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting preferred. Other Requirements Epic EMR experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare services. Understanding of insurance processes, including patient demographics, copays, coinsurance, and deductibles. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing workflows. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
