REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB TASKS
Interacting with visitors to ESU 7•Greet visitors, determine visitor needs & direct them to the correct department. Telephone•Routing multi-line telephone calls, and taking messages. Communicating with Persons Outside Organization—Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone, email or other digital means. Interacting with Computers—Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up functions, enter data, or process information.
This includes:
computers to enter, access or retrieve data and using word processing, spreadsheet and desktop publishing software. Communicating with Supervisors or Peers—Providing information to supervisors, co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Performing Clerical Activities—Performing day-to-day clerical tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
This includes:
filling out forms and purchase requisitions, maintaining digital calendars, processing invoices. Getting Information—Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. Documenting/Recording Information—Entering, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.
This includes:
entering time sheet information, performing typing or data entry, preparing meeting materials, and taking messages. Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships—Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time. Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work—Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work. Working Directly with the Public— This includes staff, school personnel and members of the public. Scheduling Work and Activities—Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
This includes:
arranging video/teleconference calls, scheduling meetings or appointments, and scheduling or contracting meeting facilities. Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge—Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job. This includes using oral and written communication techniques. Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented. Making Decisions and Solving Problems—Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Monitoring Processes, Materials, or Surroundings—Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems. Mail•Open daily mail and distribute it to staff. Other duties as assigned.
