GENERAL SUMMARY
Greets customers and provides a variety of customer services such as answering telephones, providing initial customer contact.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Answer incoming calls and direct calls to appropriate person or voice mail. Take messages if needed. Greet customer and direct to appropriate department or individual. Schedule appointments and meetings for management. Sort and deliver mail. May scan incoming mail into agency management system and activity to appropriate staff. Assist with clerical duties including filing, copying, computer input, reporting. May assist with accepting payments from customers Order office supplies Regular and reliable attendance. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of insurance products and services. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and learn Agency Software. Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to multi-task and function as a team player. Ability to work with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to operate various office machines including switchboard, adding machine, copy machine, etc. Ability to learn insurance products.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent. May require insurance licenses.
