Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM With one hour lunch break North End Montessori School is seeking a reliable, friendly, and organized full-time Receptionist to provide support to our school. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a school environment, communicates well with families and staff, and is comfortable balancing front office responsibilities with the busy rhythm of morning drop-off and afternoon pick up. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, computer literate, and enjoys being around children. Familiarity with Montessori education is helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting children and families during morning drop-off Supporting a smooth and welcoming arrival process Answering phones and taking messages Assisting with general clerical and administrative tasks in the office and assisting in classrooms as needed Communicating with staff and families as needed Helping maintain an organized and professional front office environment Providing general support to the administrative and teaching team Ideal candidates will be: Reliable and punctual, especially for a 7:00 AM start time Friendly, calm, and professional Comfortable interacting with young children and their families Computer literate and able to learn basic office systems Organized and able to manage multiple small tasks Positive, flexible, and willing to help where needed Familiar with Montessori education or early childhood settings, preferred Montessori experience but not required
Qualifications:
Prior administrative, customer service, or school office experience required Experience working with children or families Strong communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Must be dependable and professional Must be able to carry up to 35 pounds and be able to walk up/down stairs with children.
Schedule and Compensation:
This is a full-time, year-round position. The schedule begins at 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with an ending time of 4:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
