Job Description

Position Summary Full-time, 40 hours/week Tues. - Sat. 8 am - 4 pm $20 per hour plus 120 hours paid time off (accrual basis), 7 paid Holidays, 30-minute paid meal breaks, $350 health reimbursement per month, Simple IRA 3% match, $300/year for incidentals, $60/month cell phone reimbursement, retention and performance bonuses. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Guest welcome and check in.
  • Respond to customer emails, phone calls, and messages in a friendly, professional and timely manner.
  • Collect and enter payments/donations and prepare weekly bank deposits on Fridays.
  • Assist with fundraising events, as requested.
  • Keep updated paper and electronic pet records.
  • Donor and pet data entry and reporting.
  • Cover for and team members as needed.
  • Coordinate the volunteer program. Ensure new volunteers receive training materials and orientations. Solidify volunteer schedules, communicate shelter needs/coverage with volunteers. Monitor progress.
  • Process adoption applications. Schedule and conduct pet adoption appointments (paperwork/payment).
  • Follow up with adopters to ensure new pet transitions are going smoothly.
  • Research ownership of stray pets and work to unite lost pets with their people.
  • Coordinate the community pet food/meals on wheels/supply program, organize the pet pantry, filter and store donation of supplies.
  • Regular social media postings.
  • Miscellaneous projects & other duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional demeanor, patience, professionalism and experience with conflict resolution.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, data entry, CRM's and Facebook.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • The ability to take quality photographs of animals and create engaging bios about each pet. Physical Requirements
  • Manual dexterity and physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to tolerate animal fur, dander, and waste.
Pay:
$20.01 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
