Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant fitness center team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for members and visitors, managing daily front desk operations, and supporting the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our diverse clientele. Duties Greet members and visitors with professionalism and a positive attitude Manage member check-ins and check-outs using POS systems Handle phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, providing information and assistance Assist with retail sales of fitness merchandise and promote product demos when applicable Upsell memberships, classes, or additional services to enhance member engagement Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, including stocking supplies and merchandising displays Process cash handling transactions accurately using retail math skills Support supervising staff during peak hours or special events as needed Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining member records Requirements Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service roles preferred Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse members Experience in supervising or leading small teams is desirable but not required Knowledge of grocery store or retail merchandising practices is advantageous Demonstrated professionalism with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills Join our team to contribute to a positive fitness environment while developing your sales and customer service expertise.
