Full Job Description Overview:
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Optometric Assistant / Receptionist to join our eye care practice. This is a part time position with the opportunity to transition into full time. Experience in an optometry or medical office is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities:
Answer phones and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner Schedule and confirm patient appointments Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Inform patients of copays and other applicable costs Perform basic clerical and front desk duties Assist with patient pretesting before the doctor exam Help patients select eyeglass frames Maintain organized patient records and office workflow Translate between Spanish speaking patients and the doctor when needed Assist the doctor and staff with general patient care and office tasks
What We Are Looking For:
Bilingual English and Spanish preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Organized and detail oriented Comfortable multitasking in a busy office Friendly, patient, and professional when dealing with patients Reliable and punctual Comfortable using computers and learning new systems Previous clerical, receptionist, customer service, medical office, or optometry experience preferred Willingness to learn and take on different responsibilities
Position:
Part Time with opportunity for Full Time Training will be provided for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, learns quickly, and can become a dependable part of our practice.
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
