Summary As a Veterinary Receptionist at Flemington Veterinary Hospital, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners, playing a vital role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations within our veterinary practice. This position is essential in supporting our commitment to animal health and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets warmly, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle phone inquiries regarding services, appointments, and general pet care information. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed. Assist with client education on pet care, treatments, and hospital policies. Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs. Process payments and manage medical collections accurately. Support the team with animal handling during examinations or procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to handle dogs and other animals safely and compassionately. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with veterinary software or is a plus.
