The Patient Service Representative will be responsible for scheduling appointments, checking in/out patients, daily reconciliation, collecting payments, obtaining and checking referrals, answering phones. Additional duties may also be assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet Patients Check patients in by obtaining detailed demographics, insurance and referrals Call referring physician if referral not received or not completed correctly Collect co-payments and payments on account Daily Reconciliation Take detailed phone messages and communicate messages to the appropriate department Check patients out by scheduling appropriate appointments ( i.e., echo's, stress echo's, nuclear, follow-ups) Instruct patients on tests and procedures Answer doctor phone line / triage calls Notify physicians of consults and admissions at the hospital Reschedule patients due to office changes Send reports as requested clear physician's desks and fax machine Fill out disability forms Distribute faxesGOMO chat messages Authorizations for outside testing& same/next day in house add-ons Benefits That Support You At The Heart House, we believe our people are our most valuable asset—which is why we invest in benefits that support your well-being, growth, and peace of mind both in and out of the workplace.Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
