The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of medical administrative support. This role involves managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Medical Office Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations while delivering exceptional patient service. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing courteous and efficient front desk support. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks to facilitate smooth billing processes. Collect and process payments, including copayments and outstanding balances, utilizing medical billing and collection procedures. Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, triaging inquiries and directing calls as needed on multi-line phone systems. Assist with intake procedures, including updating patient information and preparing necessary documentation for clinical visits. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office or healthcare setting with strong clerical and administrative skills. Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Prior clinic or dental office experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific systems used within the practice.
