Job Description
We are looking for a Front Desk Associate with specific experience in a medical practice, preferably in a Physical Therapy setting. OPT Physical Therapy is known for its exceptional patient care. We are patient centered and employees are accustomed to an environment of collaboration for achieving successful patient treatment outcomes. We are currently seeking a full time front desk representative to join our team, to cover front desk jobs at our Jefferson Township locations. Selected candidate will receive mentoring and training to perform the job optimally. JOB The Receptionist/Associate plays an important role:
- provides patient appointments, using computer system and following established protocols for efficient scheduling and prompt payment collection
- performs insurance checks
- collects and records patient payments, following up as needed
- follows up and checks for referrals
- works with clinical team to stay on top of preauthorizations
- document scanning, printing, faxing, following up with patients on a variety of matters and performing administrative duties SKILLS The Ideal candidate:
- has 2-4 years experience in a similar role in a progressive medical practice
- has friendly presence and can handle patient questions and maintains professionalism in interaction with patients, team and management
- excellent communication skills
- quick learner and is continuously aware of policies and requirements for smooth patient flow
- flexible and available as needed for shift coverage
