The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a solid background in dental administrative support. This role is vital in ensuring smooth front desk operations, efficient appointment scheduling, and accurate management of patient records. The successful applicant will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to healthcare regulations. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, establishing a professional and welcoming environment. Schedule patient appointments utilizing EDR (Electronic Dental Record) Eaglesoft. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification procedures to facilitate billing processes. Manage recall appointments by contacting patients via phone or electronic communication to confirm or reschedule visits. Maintain accurate and organized records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards. Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, documentation review, and updating patient information using software like Eaglesoft. Support billing processes through basic collection procedures and documentation review to ensure timely payments. Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate care plans, appointment flow, and patient follow-up activities. Skills Extensive experience with dental software like Eaglesoft and Dentrix. Knowledge of dental coding including -ADA codes. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance standards to safeguard patient privacy and health information management practices. Proficiency in dental terminology relevant to both general healthcare and dental clinics; experience with dental terminology is a plus. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Prior clinic or dental office experience with front desk duties, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and office management is required. Excellent computer skills including typing (10-key), Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail in documentation review is critical.
