Job Description
We are looking for a dependable Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a short-term Contract assignment in Jersey City, New Jersey. This fully onsite opportunity will run for 2 weeks and is ideal for someone who brings strong administrative instincts, a detail-oriented approach, and excellent communication skills. The person in this role will help create a positive experience for visitors while keeping office activity organized and running efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and employees at the front desk, provide direction, and ensure each interaction is handled courteously and efficiently.
- Coordinate schedules by arranging meetings, managing appointments, and helping maintain organized calendars.
- Keep digital and paper records in order so documents can be retrieved accurately and office information remains up to date.
- Enter information into internal files and assist with preparing correspondence, reports, and other routine documents.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages, and support outgoing shipments as needed.
- Maintain a tidy, business-ready reception area that reflects a well-organized office environment.
- Answer and route incoming calls through a multi-line phone system while responding to general inquiries appropriately.
- Provide broader administrative assistance and contribute to special assignments as business needs arise.
