Job Description
Experienced Veterinary Receptionist We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, organized, and confident communicating with clients in a busy veterinary hospital environment. This position requires previous veterinary experience and a working knowledge of veterinary medicine . Experience with ezyVet is strongly preferred . Responsibilities Provide a welcoming, professional experience for clients and their pets Answer a high volume of phone calls with excellent phone etiquette Schedule appointments appropriately based on patient needs and hospital protocols Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, both in person and by phone, email, and text Accurately enter and maintain client and patient information in the medical record Process payments, invoices, and client transactions Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, and the medical team Review and relay routine information according to hospital protocols Assist with appointment confirmations, follow-ups, and other client communications Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities Qualifications Previous veterinary hospital experience required Knowledge of veterinary medicine and terminology required ezyVet experience preferred Excellent phone etiquette and customer-service skills Friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanor Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks Ability to remain calm and professional during difficult or emotional client interactions Strong computer skills and ability to learn practice-management software Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who understands that veterinary reception is much more than answering phones and scheduling appointments. Our reception team plays an important role in patient care, client education, communication, and the overall client experience. The right candidate will be warm and personable while also being accurate, efficient, and professional . They should be comfortable communicating about common veterinary services, medications, vaccines, diagnostics, and preventive care and know when a medical question needs to be directed to a technician or veterinarian. If you have veterinary reception experience, enjoy working with people and animals, and take pride in providing excellent client service, we would love to hear from you. Compensation is based on experience. A candidate with 5+ years veterinary reception experience along with Ezyvet experience can expect to be at the high of the compensation range. Evenings and Saturdays are required-non negotiable.
