Responsibilities Greet patients warmly in both English and Spanish, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) system. Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and perform medical collections with accuracy and professionalism. Manage patient records by reviewing documentation, updating electronic health records (EHR), and ensuring compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies. Handle phone communication with patients, providers, and insurance companies, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and clear communication skills. Assist with medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and documentation review to support accurate claims submission. Maintain clinic operations by managing medical records, coordinating care plans, and supporting clinical staff as needed. Use computer skills including Microsoft Office and specialized EMR/EHR systems to document patient interactions accurately. Support clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive health information in accordance with healthcare regulations. Perform front desk duties such as answering inquiries, managing appointment scheduling, and maintaining a tidy reception area. Experience Proven experience working in a medical office or clinic environment with familiarity in medical administrative support roles. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems. Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required. Excellent customer service skills combined with clerical experience in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, clinical confidentiality policies, and health information management standards. Competent computer skills including typing (10 key), Microsoft Office applications, and electronic health record management tools.
