The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff. This role is essential in creating a welcoming, professional, and compassionate environment while ensuring the smooth flow of daily operations. The receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, managing appointments, answering phone calls, verifying patient information, maintaining confidentiality, and providing administrative support to clinical and non-clinical departments. Exceptional customer service, communication, organization, and multitasking skills are critical to success in this position. As Receptionist, a typical day might include the following: Preparing the front desk to welcome patients Scheduling and reviewing the day's appointments and checking for updates from providers, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is ready Verifying personal and insurance information, checking them in for appointments, and answering questions about the visit Communicating regularly with nurses, physicians, and other departments to coordinate patient flow, relay messages, and accommodate schedule changes Reconciling appointments, updating records, preparing documentation for the next shift or following day, securing confidential information, and ensuring the reception area is organized before leaving The Receptionist role might be for you if: You communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families and staff You stay organized and can manage multiple tasks in busy clinical setting You provide assistance to staff, physician and family members You meet the physical demands of the job You respond in timely manner to all office and schedule inquiries To be considered for this opportunity, a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous customer service or receptionist experience preferred, and healthcare or medical office experience is an asset.
