Schedule:
Wednesday approximately 2:30/3:00 PM - 7:30 PM (exact start/end time varies by day)and Saturday (9 AM - 2PM). Occasional weekend availability required for performances or special events
Job Description:
Waldwick School of Ballet is seeking a reliable, organized, and friendly Front Desk / Administrative Assistant to be the welcoming face of our studio. This role is essential to our daily operations and requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a warm, professional demeanor when working with students, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer phones, emails, and provide clear communication with parents and prospective families Serve as the main point of contact for students, parents, and visitors Communicate with teachers regarding scheduling, attendance, and class coverage Manage tuition billing, payments, and basic financial tracking Track staff hours and assist with administrative records Check student attendance and schedule trial classes and make-up classes Assist students with uniforms, hair, and bathroom needs when necessary Open and close the studio following established procedures Light cleaning and upkeep of front desk and common studio areas Design posters and flyers for bulletin boards and email communication (Photoshop, Canva or similar experience preferred) Provide administrative support for studio operations and events Assist on occasional weekends for performances, rehearsals, or special events
Qualifications:
Strong communication and customer service skills Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced, child-focused environment Basic computer skills (email, scheduling systems, spreadsheets) Experience with Photoshop or graphic design tools is a plus Prior administrative, front desk, or studio experience preferred but not required Must be comfortable working with children of all ages

$16.00 per hour
