Job Description
We are looking for a Receptionist to manage our front desk on a daily basis and greet customers while up keeping the shop. As the front desk receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Receptionist's duties include offering administrative support across the shop. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence, redirecting phone calls, and booking appointments. To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. Cory Mathew's is a fast-paced work environment. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus. Ultimately, a Receptionist's duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Greet and check in clients as soon as they arrive Direct clients to the appropriate barber/stylist Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments Ensure reception and barbers/ stylist area is tidy and presentable at all time, with all necessary stationery and material along with ensuring everything is disinfectant Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Maintain shop and do laundry/ disinfect all towels and capes Update appointments when needed and confirm appointments •Please note that is role pay is primarily based off tips.• Skills Proven work experience as a Receptionist or in an Administrative role Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Social media/PR management experience is a plus Professional attitude and appearance Solid written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem solving skills Impeccable organizational skills Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks Customer service attitude High school degree (minimum)
