Front Office Supervisor Job Summary:
This individual is responsible for answering the telephone in a courteous and professional manner, directing calls to appropriate personnel, scheduling appointments, sending recalls, and making appointment reminder calls.RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets and orients patients as they arrive for their appointments. Schedules, reschedules, and cancels appointments as necessary. Files reports and charts. Updates patient recalls as necessary. Promptly and efficiently types patient labels, charts, miscellaneous correspondence, etc. Maintains organized patient files. Assists patients as they check out, i.e., next appointment, completes super bill, accepts payment, etc. Telephone and Greeting Answers telephone calls promptly (two rings). Addresses the caller's concern. Directs all calls to appropriate personnel. Identifies emergency calls and schedules appropriately. Performs all front desk duties between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. daily. Consistent Patient Follow-Up Keeps an active cancellation list and uses as necessary. Confirms all appointments. Financial Responsibilities Obtains proper insurance information. Monitors the postage meter and enters postage when needed. Provides fee schedules and insurance information to patients. High school diploma or equivalent. Two years experience in customer service preferredESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent customer service and communication skills. Accurate data entry. Ability to work as a team member. Management of multiple tasks simultaneously. Motivation to succeed.
