Job Description
Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinarian Receptionist, where you will be the friendly face and organized voice that keeps our clinic running smoothly. Must be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00pm. This vital role combines exceptional customer service with administrative expertise to ensure pet owners and their beloved animals receive the highest level of care. You will manage appointment scheduling, handle payments, and coordinate communication between clients and veterinary staff. Your energetic and positive attitude will help create a welcoming environment for pets and their owners, making every visit a positive experience. Duties Greeting and welcoming patients with sincerity Answering telephone calls and returning e-mails Scheduling appointments using our designated software Informing the veterinarian on a call of any emergencies that require urgent attention Issuing invoices for treatment and prescribed medication after each consultation Receiving and verifying payments after each consultation Monitoring the inventory of items for sale by the practice and restocking these, as needed Overseeing the sale of items stocked by the practice Be able to lift 50+ pounds Be able to bend, lift, and stand on feet frequently In addition, you must be willing to learn the following skills: computer literacy, ability to use multi-line phones, interact with clients by checking in patients, perform financial transactions, answer client questions, work in a team environment with staff, and be familiar with paper and e-filing systems. Qualifications Previous experience in veterinary reception or related administrative roles preferred Bilingual is a plus Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members Familiarity with veterinary practices, pet grooming, dog training, and pet care enhances your ability to support our team Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail A passion for animal welfare combined with a proactive approach to customer service Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma and reliable transportation to get to work. Must be able to work in the USA with appropriate ID's and working credentials to support working status. English speaking and/or Bilingual [English and Spanish speaking] preferred.
