Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and organized Receptionist to support daily operations in our optometry office. This role is responsible for welcoming patients, managing appointments, handling phone calls, and assisting with front-desk administrative tasks to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience. Responsibilities Greet visitors and clients warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the organization Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls efficiently and professionally using proper phone etiquette Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, mail, and packages Maintain appointments by reminding & confirming patients; making yearly appointments for patients seen.
Handling patient in-out processing:
checking-in/out patients, processing payments via cash, card, and check, setting up yearly appointments before patient leaves. Learning insurance claims (will be trained where needed) Dispensing glasses/contacts Sending/Receiving faxes and documenting faxes Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Skills Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment Prior office experience or clerical experience demonstrating familiarity with administrative duties Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse clientele and team members ($1 added to pay rate!) Capable of typing quickly with high accuracy; familiarity with data entry and proofreading processes Experience in medical roles is advantageous but not required; strong organizational skills are essential for success Comprehensive computer skills Ability to learn new skills and cross-train Benefits Paid Sick Leave, Paid Holidays, and free/discounted medical services for employees and immediate family.
Pay rate:
