Northern Nevada State Veterans Home is seeking a Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and team members in our senior living community. Schedule:
Saturday and Sunday (8am-6pm) - Every Weekend What You'll Do (
AKA:
Your Superpowers) Be the Face of the
Community:
Greet residents, families, and visitors with a smile and a helpful attitude. Answer phones and respond to inquiries with professionalism and warmth. Assist with directing guests and handling deliveries or messages. Create a
Welcoming Environment:
Maintain the front desk and lobby area so it's clean, inviting, and organized. Help coordinate transportation, appointments, and resident requests as needed. Support residents with information and general assistance with daily needs.
Keep Things Running Smoothly:
Monitor building entry and maintain visitor logs for safety and security. Communicate with team members and departments to relay important information. Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, and scheduling assistance. What You Bring to the Table (Besides Your Great Smile) ✔
Experience & Training:
Previous customer service or front desk experience preferred. Familiarity with senior living or healthcare environments is a plus. ✔
Skills & Qualities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you love helping people! Friendly, patient, and respectful with all residents, guests, and team members. Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. ✔
Physical Requirements:
