The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service, managing appointment scheduling, and supporting medical administrative functions. This role requires proficiency with Medent, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and office procedures. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification procedures Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments Collect payments and perform medical collections as needed Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to address patient inquiries and direct calls appropriately Manage medical records, data entry, and document management in compliance with HIPAA regulations maintaining confidentiality Assist with billing processes related to Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance providers Support administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, copying, and maintaining office supplies Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns promptly and courteously Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area Maintains operations by following policies and procedures Additional duties as needed Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office or clinic setting is not required, but is highly preferred Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and the ability to learn Medent Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are advantageous Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for patient privacy and data security Associates degree in office administration, or related field preferred At least two years of administrative and clerical experience required This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing outstanding patient care through efficient administrative support during day and evening work hours.
Pay:
