Job Description

We are looking for a Receptionist to join our dental office team! As a front desk receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients & visitors. You will welcome patients, check them in & out for appointments, answer and make phone calls, handle money accurately to collect co-pays and balance to a daily deposit sheet, verify patients' insurance benefits, file documents and charts, and perform a variety of other clerical tasks as needed. To be successful in this position, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking skills are essential for this position. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Make reminder phone calls for upcoming or overdue appointments Handle money accurately and balance to a deposit sheet daily Verify insurance benefits for patients Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing Skills Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role preferred but not required - candidates with customer service backgrounds of any type are also encouraged to apply Proficiency in Windows & Microsoft Office Professional attitude and appearance Solid written and verbal communication skills High school degree required; additional degrees or certifications are a plus
