Duties Greet patients warmly, verify appointments, and facilitate smooth patient flow throughout the office Collect and process patient intake information, including insurance details and medical history Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR), ensuring accurate documentation of patient visits, test results, and treatment plans Assist with ophthalmic patient examinations by preparing necessary equipment and supporting clinical staff with procedures like imaging Support medical office operations by scheduling appointments, answering phone inquiries, and managing medical records with precision Uphold aseptic techniques during clinical interactions to prevent infection and ensure patient safety Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring comfort throughout visits Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office setting, Optometry or Ophthalmology practice highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy related to eye health, and physiology fundamentals Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently Experience operating ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment is a plus Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care delivery Basic retail math skills for handling billing or optical sales when needed Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail Join us in making a difference by providing compassionate care in a lively team environment. Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
