Summary:
Our client in Quogue, NY is seeking for a Part-Time Receptionist to provide front office support in a school setting. This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, students, staff, and callers while performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support daily office operations.
Responsibilities:
Greet visitors and provide courteous, professional assistance. Answer incoming telephone calls, take accurate messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members. Assist with coordinating appointments with teachers and school staff. Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail. Maintain filing systems and perform general records management. Record check deposits in the designated check log. Maintain various office logs and records with accuracy. Perform additional entry-level clerical and administrative duties as assigned by the School Business Administrator.
Qualifications:
Previous receptionist or front office experience preferred. Clear and legible handwriting. Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English clearly. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience handling multi-line telephone systems, taking messages, and routing calls appropriately. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to maintain accurate records and office logs. Proficiency in general office procedures and administrative support. Ability to work professionally with students, staff, parents, and visitors. #
