Job description We are seeking an experienced and motivated Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy four-doctor team at Marbletown Animal Hospital. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with both people and pets and is passionate about providing exceptional client service in a fast-paced veterinary hospital.
Position Overview:
The Veterinary Receptionist plays an essential role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for our clients and patients. This position is responsible for managing front desk duties, maintaining accurate client records, and supporting the overall flow of daily hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service. Manage appointment scheduling, phone calls, emails, and text communications while appropriately screening client and patient needs. Process payments for visits, medications, and products. Maintain accurate client and patient records using the hospital's practice management software. Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable. Communicate effectively with veterinarians and support staff to ensure smooth patient care and client communication. Assist clients with questions and address concerns professionally and compassionately. Support daily front desk workflow and contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
Veterinary reception experience preferred. Strong computer and customer service skills. Friendly, positive attitude with the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Organized, dependable, and team-oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Hours:
Full-time position with flexible scheduling Rotating Saturdays Hospital hours:
Monday & Tuesday:
8:00 AM•7:00
PM Wednesday-Friday:
8:00 AM•6:00
PM Saturday:
8:30 AM•3:00
PM Compensation & Benefits:
$18•22/hour based on experience Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) with employer match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employee discount for staff pets Three sets of scrubs provided upon hire, with one additional set provided for each year of employment.
