Position Summary Rome Health is seeking a Receptionist to manage the front desk operations of our medical offices. Appropriate candidates will have excellent customer service and will professionally greet patients, schedule appointments, assist with record maintenance, handle a multi-line phone system, and assist with administrative tasks. Other duties include, but are not limited to, the following essential job functions:
Responsibilities:
Answer and direct incoming phone calls. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments. Register new patients and update patient information. Verify insurance information and collect co-payments. Maintain a clean and organized reception area. Ensure compliance with patient privacy and confidentiality regulations (such as HIPAA, where applicable).
Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a hospital, ambulatory, or medical office setting preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment Basic clinical and computer skills preferred Physical Demands Minimal physical effort with the ability to lift up to 15lbs. Pushing and pulling may be necessary Some walking and standing is required, but primarily sitting for extended periods (up to 2-3hrs). Bending and kneeling as needed for filing. Hearing acuity necessary for verbal and phone communication. Marvel dexterity necessary for keyboarding.
