Job Description

Brookhaven Retirement Community Receptionist needed for part time, Monday - Thursday, 3pm - 9pm, in our beautiful Independent Living Community! This is a great opportunity!
Position Summary:
Greet visitors and answer telephones in a professional and business-like manner and direct calls to the appropriate person/department. Distribute facility mail, maintain meal money, order office supplies and assist with typing and filing as needed and other administrative-type work/duties.
Essential Functions:
Regular, punctual attendance. Greet visitors and answer the telephone in a professional and business-like manner, appropriately direct calls. Distribute mail and forward discharged residents mail. Assure that all visitors and family sign in on logs when visiting. Maintain accurate records for meal money. Maintain copier, postage machine, fax machine and typewriter. Assist HR in printing orientation packets and new hire packets. Assist other departments in items as needed. Villas IL must also respond to resident/facility emergencies and call family or squad as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Prefer receptionist experience Ability to pleasantly and effectively deal with the public, residents and co-workers. Experience with multi-line phones and customer service preferred. Computers and typing skills required. Accurate typing skills necessary, professional phone etiquette, data entry, good interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
