Description We are looking for a dependable 2nd shift Receptionist to support front desk operations for a nonprofit organization in Cincinnati, Ohio. This Contract position serves as a key point of contact for residents, visitors, staff, and community partners while helping maintain a safe, organized, and attentive environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling reception responsibilities, monitoring facility activity, and responding calmly when urgent situations arise.
Responsibilities:
- Greet residents, guests, employees, and service providers in a courteous and attentive manner while managing front desk activity throughout the shift.
- Guide visitors to the appropriate area and communicate their arrival to the relevant staff members as needed.
- Observe entry and exit activity to help maintain a secure environment and alert program leadership when situations require attention.
- Oversee the electronic security system and report concerns or irregularities promptly.
- Coordinate with emergency responders, including fire and police personnel, by providing timely information and support during urgent situations.
- Support building safety procedures by assisting with emergency evacuations and scheduled fire drills.
- Complete administrative and clerical tasks assigned to support daily office and program operations.
- Respond to residency-related questions by following established guidelines and procedures. Requirements
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role is required.
- Ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, visitors, and external partners in a busy environment.
- Comfort with monitoring facility access and using electronic security systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm and responsive during emergencies.
- Basic clerical and organizational skills, including handling inquiries and routine office tasks accurately.
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening requirements is required before starting.
