Job Description
Description:
The Receptionist will provide administrative support, greet guests, visitors, etc. and provide appropriate information to all inquires as requested. S/he will answer the telephone and perform clerical functions for the department as needed or required This position is for two, 4:30 - 8:30 pm shifts, and every 6th Sunday (all day). There are opportunities to pick up additional shifts as needed. 1. Perform administrative support tasks such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, scheduling appointments and operating computers to work with various documents including invoices and other related documents. Type, file, and distribute mail and other incoming/outgoing correspondence such as internal memos and minutes. 2. Greet persons entering the establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations. 3. Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls to appropriate party, take messages etc., and provide general information. 4 .Operate copier, fax, and other office machines. Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine. 5. File and maintain records, receive payment and record receipts for services. 6. Hear and resolve complaints from customers and public. 7. Provide information about the establishment such as location of departments or offices, hours of operation or services provided.
Requirements:
Educational Attainment
•High School diploma or GED. Vocational training or job-related course work. Licensure/Certification Specialized Knowledge/Skills
•Must have demonstrated computer/word processing skills with MS windows based products. General knowledge of printers, copiers, and other office equipment. Excellent time management, judgment and organizational skills. Kind & Length of Experience One year secretarial/clerical experience preferred.
