Job Description
Description We are looking for a Front Desk Coordinator to support daily reception and care coordination activities for a healthcare organization. This Contract position is ideal for someone who creates a positive first impression, stays organized in a fast-paced setting, and communicates with empathy. The person in this role will help keep front office operations running smoothly while assisting with scheduling and general administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients, visitors, staff, vendors, and community partners while overseeing entry at the front desk.
- Manage a steady flow of incoming phone calls, route inquiries to the appropriate contacts, and record accurate messages when needed.
- Coordinate appointments and calendars, working with medical offices and related parties to support basic care coordination needs.
- Share clear and courteous information about available programs, services, and the admissions process with callers and guests.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail, deliveries, and packages to the appropriate recipients.
- Keep the reception area tidy, organized, and welcoming to ensure a positive experience for everyone entering the facility.
- Provide day-to-day administrative assistance such as email communication, filing, and other office support tasks as assigned. Requirements
- Prior experience in a front desk, receptionist, administrative support, or customer service role is required.
- Background in a healthcare setting is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an approachable and service-oriented manner.
- Ability to manage multiple calls, visitors, and requests efficiently throughout the workday.
- Solid organizational skills with close attention to detail and follow-through.
- Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Comfort using phone systems, scheduling tools, and standard office communication platforms.
