Inn The Doghouse , Cleveland Magazine' s Best of Cleveland recipient, a premier dog daycare, boarding, and grooming facility, is currently seeking a Receptionist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to break into the Animal Care industry. We are seeking an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is team-oriented, and has excellent communication skills with fellow colleagues, clients, and the community. Being compassionate and empathetic comes naturally to this kind, happy, and fun-to-work-with professional. As a detailed and precise hard worker, the right candidate is self-motivated and accepts feedback well. Eager for more responsibility, this self-sufficient multitasker is also calm and smart. We provide ongoing education in best practices of Animal Care and Dog Communication, and advancement opportunities for motivated individuals. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following items: Greet and engage with clients during the check-in process Facilitate pets going into daycare, boarding, or grooming Provide excellent customer service while communicating policies and procedures to clients Handle inbound and outbound calls Confidence in collecting and discussing money for services rendered Scheduling for Daycare & Overnight guests, Trial Days, and Grooming Clients Keep lobby, kitchenette, and work space clean Giving tours of the facility Communicating with clients via e-mail Updating Social Media Communicating with Veterinary Hospitals when in need of medical records Enter client information, scheduling, and payment in industry software. Upselling of services, accommodations, and products
Qualifications:
Multitasking ability Experience in a service industry Computer literate A genuine love and respect for dogs & cats Experience in a fast-paced environmentPhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift food and belongings weighing up to 50 pounds Handle animals weighing up to 150 pounds Work standing, walking, and bending for 6-8-hour shiftsSchedule:
Shifts are usually 7 am- 2 pm, 12 pm
- 7 pm, Monday
- Friday Team members must work at least one weekend shift.
What We Offer:
Team members start with a base hourly rate of $14- 16 (depending on experience), with a performance review at 90 days.
